Changsha Museum, in the east of Binjing Cultural Park, covers an area of 24,000 square meters including an exhibition area of over 9,000 square meters and houses more than 50,000 pieces of relics. It has 6 exhibition halls, Exhibition Hall I, II and III are for the permanent exhibition “Glorious History and Culture along Xiang River—Ancient Changsha City”, Exhibition Hall IV is for the permanent exhibition “Luminaries, Revolutions and Rising—Modern Changsha City”. With the significant historical events, famous historical figures and development course of the city as the main clues, the permanent exhibitions are based on the collections excavated or collected in the past decades and fully show the cultural connotations, humanistic spirits and city image of Changsha.

Special Exhibition Hall I, II, constructed according to the international standards, are for the various temporary exhibitions on relics and art which are focused on world civilizations, Chinese civilizations and Huxiang culture. In order to further meet the needs of the public, the Discovery Land (a learning place for children), multi-media classrooms, multifunction lecture hall, souvenir shop, coffee bar and book bar are equipped to provide visit, leisure and educational services.
